The DH-7300 is our neutral all‑rounder. 10Hz to 40kHz frequency range, 97dB sensitivity, 32 ohms. Folds up. Swivels 90 degrees for one‑ear monitoring. Comes with a coiled 4‑meter cable – long enough to reach from the desk to the live room without pulling.

The DH-7500 is flatter. More analytical. 100dB sensitivity – so it’s louder at the same volume knob setting. Same fold and swivel. Same coiled cable. If you’re mixing or mastering, this one gives you less colouration. You hear the flaws in your mix. That’s the point.

 

If you’re a DJ

You probably care less about flat response and more about punch. You need to feel the kick drum, hear the bassline clearly in a loud booth, and beatmatch without straining.

Get the DH-1771. It’s tuned specifically for low‑end emphasis. Same 50mm neodymium driver, but the earcup design boosts the bass. Braided cable – 3 meters, not coiled – so it doesn’t tangle when you’re moving around. Earpads are soft and skin‑friendly because you’re probably wearing these for hours.

One thing – the 1771 doesn’t fold. If portability is a dealbreaker, look at the DH-7600 instead. It has a similar frequency response (12Hz–40kHz), slightly higher power handling (400mW rated, 2000mW max), and it does fold. Bass isn’t as boosted as the 1771, but it’s still solid.

 

If you’re buying for a school or rental company

Durability and repairability are your top concerns. Kids drop things. Renters abuse gear. Cables get yanked.

The DH-1775 has a detachable cable. That alone saves you a ton of money over time – if the cable dies, you don’t trash the whole headphone. Just plug in a new one. 18Hz–35kHz, 97dB, lightweight. No fold, but honestly, for studio use, that’s fine.

 

If you’re on a tighter budget, the DH-2300 is our workhorse. Fixed cable (3 meters), simple design, 10Hz–32kHz, 98dB. Lightweight, comfortable, affordable. We’ve sold these to school districts that bought 300 pairs at once. They hold up.
